The weekly rankings show is making us all irrational

There was a time when we argued about polls on Sunday and then watched football. Now every Tuesday reveal becomes a national emergency, followed by four days of hypothetical outrage. The committee barely has enough data early, yet each ordering is treated as permanent law. I enjoy ranking arguments, but the weekly television ceremony seems designed to manufacture panic rather than clarify anything.
