The backup just led two scoring drives. Now what?
The starter left after a hard but legal hit, and the backup produced two quick touchdown drives with simpler reads and better tempo. The starter is cleared to return. This is where every fan becomes a quarterback psychologist. I usually restore the starter because the original plan was built around him, but the offense clearly found rhythm. Do you ride the hot hand or trust the depth chart?
