Tailgate games that do not start arguments

We need one game for a mixed-age tailgate where half the guests are deeply competitive and the other half just want something to do between snacks. Cornhole produced three disputed measurements and one family tribunal, so it is suspended. Trivia sounds safer until somebody challenges the answer key. What activity is social, portable, and unlikely to create a rules committee?
