For me it's whether a Group of 6 team can actually do damage with that guaranteed bid. Give a hot mid-major a home playoff game in December and I promise you somebody big is getting a scare.

Forty years following this game and I've never seen roster turnover like this. The portal plus revenue sharing means half these teams are unrecognizable from two seasons ago. Exciting, sure, but I miss continuity. You used to know a roster for four years.
